All About Amanda

Hi! I'm Amanda

I have been truly blessed with a great life.  I was born to two amazing, hard-working parents and a brother and sister that always had my back.  I married the best guy on Earth and quickly became a Mom to two incredible kids.  I chose to go into the teaching profession and married a teacher, which allows us time to travel and experience the world with each other and our children.  Good food and/or a change of scenery is many times all we need to change up our mood or add some excitement to our lives.

When the Color Street opportunity presented itself, my personal life was satisfying, but I was in a place professionally where I needed a change and a challenge.  I had taken a position in a new district after 14 years with the same district and was loving that change, but had always thought (and even dabbled in some summers) with making a career change.  My biggest reason I just could not pull the trigger, was I was not ready to give up the breaks I had off with my family.  I had tried part-time gigs after school or even during the summer, but the cost/benefit was just not right.  The idea of working a part-time job in sales, where I could work my own schedule was EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Immediately, my mind went to the reasons I could not do Color Street.

1. I am not a sales person.

2. I have no experience with direct sales.

3. I did not want to join a pyramid scheme where I worked and the people at the top did not.

4. I didn't want to obligate my friends and family to have parties for me.

I could go on.  I am always my biggest doubter.  While I would not consider myself a negative person, I doubt my own capabilities more often than I would like to admit (as I know many other people do as well... women in particular.)

After having a heart to heart with myself and getting a ton of support and encouragement from my family, I knew this was the challenge I had been looking for and went for it!  What I found was:

1. I have no problem sharing a product with women I know would love it.

2. I may not have experience in sales, but I could become a student of the field of direct-selling and slowly but surely, learn some skills that could get me a strong start and solid foundation.  (Continuing to be a student and a sponge helps me everyday in this field!)

3. Color Street's model requires women to continue to work their business, and leaders are expected to work with their teammates to help them find success in this amazing company.  The leadership part and helping women gain financial freedom is the best part of my job.

4. There is no "obligating!"  My friends and family all love this product and have no problem supporting my small business!
